7 Upcoming Airdrops Tipped for 2025
Many websites and guides talk about finding upcoming airdrops, but very few address the uncertainty and randomness of it all. We will.
Often, an airdrop isn’t announced beforehand, so you can’t plan for it - this stops opportunists from jumping into a coin to extract value, and ensures that rewards go to genuine holders.
Other projects take a “snapshot” of their project, something like a photo of all their token holders and activity, which could be weeks or months before any airdrop, to ensure that opportunists who may have heard airdrop rumours don’t get a slice of the pie.
There’s also the randomness of the payout. Most airdrops send out different amounts to different wallets, and there’s not much you can do about that.
For some airdrops, you might need to hold $1,000 of a token and all you get is $50, while for others, you might only need to hold $50, and you end up earning $1,000.
You can’t account for that. If a million others qualify for the same airdrop, the rewards will be spread thin, and in fact, there are no guarantees you will get anything. In most cases, airdrop mechanics are kept top secret, out of integrity and fairness.
With all of that considered, you may also want to look back at 2024’s biggest (and wildest) crypto airdrops (read our report now).
If you’re ready to arm yourself with the answer to “What new crypto airdrop is coming soon?” - keep reading.
Upcoming Airdrop 1 - Farcaster
Farcaster is the base layer for “sufficiently decentralized” social media platforms built on Optimism.
The most well-known of these is called Warpcast, a Twitter-inspired thought-stream, built specifically for Web3. It is quickly growing in popularity as people move away from X.
There are good reasons to suspect that Farcaster will launch an airdrop in 2025:
It has raised about $180m from two funding rounds.
It has significant investment from a16z, Coinbase Ventures, Paradigm, and more, and is a major competitor to friend.tech.
After being valued at over $1bn and being a well-known blockchain project without a token yet, TGE and airdrops seem plausible.
You have to consider it highly likely that rewarding the community for their presence and engagement would serve the platform’s future quite well.
We don’t know about eligibility for the hypothetical airdrop, but you’d likely need a Warpcast account, activity and interactions, and a Power badge to improve your chance.
The Power badge is not something you can get manually, it’s a reward given by the platform for high-engagement users based on an undisclosed algorithm.
Upcoming Airdrop 2 - Initia
Cosmos-based Initia is an interoperability network connecting blockchains through unique infrastructure that mixes L1 and L2 tech together.
It’s a little technical, but essentially it makes the creation of “appchains” much easier. What you really want to know, however, is how to hunt crypto airdrops like Initia.
After raising $7.5m in its seed round (backed by Binance Labs, Delphi Ventures, and Hack VC), it looks like the next step for Initia would be a token launch to reward and grow their community.
In fact, they’ve already confirmed a token launch, but airdrops is a different matter entirely. Fortunately, there has been an XP program to collect points through different interactions, and any savvy airdrop farmer will know that this usually leads to an airdrop.
There are many different activities you can do to earn XP, like creating an NFT (called a Jennie), completing weekly bonus tasks, and buying an Initia username.
Upcoming Airdrop 3 - Pump.fun
Pump.fun has shown the dark side of meme coin culture recently with some awful controversies through its live-streaming platform.
The platform, however, has lived to tell the tale, while many are calling for serious controls and safeguards to stop more people from getting hurt or exploited. Still, for now, it remains the most successful meme coin generator in the world, pumping out Solana tokens with a simplified process that can cost as little as $2.
After generating over $170m in revenue in 2024, the platform looks destined for big things, if it can stay out of trouble. Given the profitability and the ease of creating potentially lucrative tokens, an airdrop might be a natural evolution for the platform.
A token has been teased, but not confirmed, and how to qualify for any hypothetical airdrop is a mystery for now.
We can assume that anyone who has created meme coins on Pump.fun and is an active user would have a serious head start for airdrop eligibility.
Upcoming Airdrop 4 - Fuel
Fuel Network is an Ethereum-based L2 designed for scalability.
It separates responsibilities into different pieces to make transactions faster and cheaper. Fuel is currently running a public testnet on Sepolia, but it’s quite technical, so let’s not get into the weeds about how it works, and stick to what’s important – identifying upcoming airdrops.
In its first two funding rounds, Fuel raised $81.5m, with CoinFund, Origin Capital, and Stratos Technologies among the backers.
Along with significant capital, Fuel has opened the “Fuel Points” program, for early contributors to earn points through pre-deposit contracts. It’s a bit like staking, and to earn points you need to keep funds staked, otherwise you lose all accumulated points.
Points program = airdrop, in most cases, and while this isn’t yet confirmed for Fuel, there’s a good possibility that it will be.
Upcoming Airdrop 5 - Karak
Liquid staking caught the imagination of many DeFi enthusiasts in 2024. The ability to have your cake (ETH) and eat it (earn staking rewards) helped projects like Eigenlayer and Hyperliquid to become multi-billion dollar businesses.
Karak is a newer alternative, offering multi-chain restaking, as well as a developer marketplace that offers security to new protocols through token staking.
Already valued at $1bn, the company recently raised $48m in their Series A, led by Lightspeed Ventures and supported by Pantera and Coinbase Ventures, among others.
Right now, they’re running a points program to earn XP by interacting with the protocol and restaking assets, as well as doing user referrals.
Any potential airdrop would likely tie into this scheme. You’ll need an invitation and code from an existing user to get started, that’s your first challenge.
Upcoming Airdrop 6 - Jupiter
We talked about Jupiter in our “Biggest and Wildest Crypto Airdrops of 2024” – so why is it being discussed again? Well, they airdropped over $800m worth of tokens last year, and now they’re planning something similar.
It’s already been confirmed.
Over $2 trillion, yes, with a “T”, has already been traded through Jupiter.
This is astonishing, and means about half of all Solana trades go through the DEX. It helps traders find the best rate for token swaps, and then efficiently routes them.
The team has announced upcoming airdrops for January 2025, January 2026, and January 2027, to be held on the 31st each year.
Official comment is expected any moment.
You’ll want to buy and stake $JUP tokens, vote on community proposals, provide liquidity to the perps exchange, and interact with other protocol features to improve your chances of qualifying for the airdrop.
Upcoming Airdrop 7 - Berachain
Built on the Beaconkit framework (Cosmos SDK), Berachain is an EVM-identical L1 that helps devs build execution layers for the Ethereum VM.
A little complex for most, but what’s important is it offers robust technology and has raised over $140m in funding.
This often means that if an airdrop does take place, it is less likely that the token will be dumped. In addition, it offers a Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) consensus mechanism for users to provide liquidity by committing a compatible token in exchange for rewards.
The $BERA token is confirmed and the BeraChain public testnet is already up and running.
Those who contribute to the testnet program are most likely to qualify for any potential airdrop, though it has yet to be confirmed. If you’re not very technical, get involved in Berachain’s social media events (such as Zealy campaigns) to improve your airdrop eligibility chances.

How To Hunt Crypto Airdrops
Getting started as an airdrop hunter or farmer is not as hard or inaccessible as you think.
Here are 7 ways to optimize and maximize your airdrop hunting strategy:
The first method is to integrate yourself into the crypto community and project ecosystems by joining
Discord channels, Telegram groups, Twitter pages, and more. There are also Web3 social media platforms built on the blockchain, like WarpCast, friend.tech, and Mastodon
Many projects and protocols run XP or Points programs, often through platforms like Zealy and Galxe, among others
Look out for official project announcements - this will usually be on social media, but could come via email too
Check out DappRadar for airdrop announcements and eligibility criteria
Dune is one of, if not the best Web3 analytics platform, and it has an abundance of airdrop data to aid your research
Airdrop aggregators like airdrops.io, airdropalert, ICO drops, and CoinMarketCap Airdrops (among dozens of others) collate all available airdrop information into easy-to-use platforms. They’re often free, but PRO versions may give you access to important alpha
Check out services like EarnDrop, which tracks your wallet address to let you know if your wallet is eligible for any past airdrops. Serious farmers can upgrade to pro for important feature upgrades. The thing is, if you’re an active DeFi user, you might be eligible for a lot, without realizing it. Also, it’s free to check your wallet
Pro Tips for Qualifying (Eligibility Hacks)
Different projects and protocols decide on different criteria for airdrops. Some run retroactive airdrops where they reward users from months before, thanking them for supporting the platform in its formative stages.
Others run XP or Points programs to ensure engagement and community growth before any upcoming airdrops.
More technical projects might want people to play around with their testnet. Some want you to stake cryptocurrencies or mint NFTs for future eligibility. This means you’ll need to be adaptable.
In most cases, you can figure out what you’ll need to do to be considered an active ecosystem or community member. If the platform is all about restaking, you’ll need to start restaking. If it’s a DEX, you’ll need to make some trades, etc.
In all cases, you’ll need a crypto wallet and some coins to pay gas fees - MetaMask and Ethereum are good starting points, respectively. Phantom is popular for Solana projects. Some centralized crypto exchanges (CEXs) now offer crypto wallets and airdrop platforms, such as the OKX Cryptoverse.
Some other hacks include:
Holding tokens of ecosystems that are active with builders, such as Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Cosmos. Some projects will airdrop you coins simply for owning an associated token
Use Airdrop aggregators to find easy airdrops
Participate in whitelists and pre-airdrop signups - Coinlaunch is the best platform for finding these
Complete your KYC checks
Airdrop Disclaimer
It’s not all sunshine and puppies in the land of airdrops. Bad guys are lurking, and they’re ready to scam you. You must proceed with caution.
Scam projects may pose as legitimate projects and request personal information from you, in exchange for “free” tokens. They will likely have social media accounts and a website that looks almost identical to the real project’s version - all part of their well-orchestrated scam.
If it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
Anyone who wants to know how to hunt crypto airdrops must also know how to protect themselves from bad actors:
Don’t click suspicious links from unofficial accounts on social media or email
Triple-check URLs
Don’t sign transactions unless you’re certain
Use multiple wallets (a dedicated airdrop hunting wallet is useful to protect your main wallet)
Buy a cold hardware wallet to store your long-term crypto holds and keep them safe
Good Luck in 2025, Airdrop Hunters
We hope this year proves to be highly rewarding, and that your airdrop strategies, the time and energy you’ve put into research, the transactions and investments and questing, and all the community participation pay off.
You’ve really gotta be in it to win it with airdrop hunting, but be safe, be cautious, and remember that when it comes to magic internet money, “free” often has a caveat.
